About: 

AutoQuote is an academic app which provides users with auto quotation from the articles that they have saved in the app.

 

Goal and Mission of AutoQuote: 

AutoQuote is designed as a tool to provide users with auto quotation from the articles that they have saved before in the app. When a user wants to quote some content, he or she does not have to remember which article the quotation is from, or what exactly the quotation is; he or she just needs to type few information about the quotation, such as few key words, then the app will automatically match sentences from articles in the app library and provide suggestions of sentences to quote. What users need to do is to simply choose which quotation to use from a list of suggestions and insert it into the document. In this way, the app saves users a lot time and helps them spare no efforts in organizing and writing articles rather than looking for sentences in hundreds. of articles. 

 

Features: 

• Provide a local library for storing journal articles and ebooks; 

 

• Journal articles and ebooks can be downloaded online or imported from other devices; 

 

• Provide users with database access links for viewing and downloading articles; the access will be granted through users’ on-campus IP or through off-campus authorization by providing their own login credentials, if their institutions have subscriptions to those databases. 

 

• All journal articles and ebooks can be organized by publishers, journal names, publishing year, recent use time, etc; 

 

• The full text of each article or ebook can be indexed and a content search engine for the library is also provided; 

 

• Users can create a new blank document within the app or import documents from other devices for writing or editing; 

 

• When users highlight a typed word or phrase or sentence in the document, the app will automatically search the indexed library and provide a list of quotation suggestion from the library that match the highlighted content, with the most matched one listed first. 

 

• Users can select and insert the quotation from the suggestion list into the document, without spending long time looking for which article or what text to quote. 

 

• Auto quotation is archive based. That is, the suggested quotations are all from the articles and ebooks that have been saved in the app library. 

 

• Users can view the information for suggested quotations, such as titles, publishers, authors of the articles or ebooks where the quotations are. 

 

• Users can also see the highlighted quotation in original resource;
